GLENN LAVENDER
Bio//
Glenn Lavender is a four-time Juno award-winning Canadian musician and songwriter. Glenn spent 12 years as a recording and touring artist with Nashville-based rock band, Downhere, playing bass, guitar, trumpet, and providing background vocals. Downhere released eleven albums, regularly toured throughout North America and Europe, and was the recipient of many awards including Juno, Covenant, Dove, and Shai awards. Glenn’s youth was spent playing in brass bands, jazz bands, concert bands, rock bands and singing with jazz choirs, chamber choirs, and concert choirs. Glenn studied jazz trumpet performance at Mohawk College in Hamilton Ontario
before moving to Nashville Tennessee to join Downhere. After years on the road he decided to chase his Renaissance man ideals and test out his entrepreneurial skills by opening a winery that ferments honey into honey wine. Open since 2015, Silver Hand Meadery is an award-winning and growing business that has become a destination in Williamsburg, VA for visitors and locals. Today Glenn spends his time composing, songwriting, and producing music with artists from around the world while managing his business. Glenn currently resides in Williamsburg, Virginia with his wife and three boys.
